Hey again peeps

I was looking around the site and I notice that some networks need an EIN or SS number to enable me to sign up. However I live in the uk and don’t have this.

Does anyone know what to do?

Great question, this is certainly something networks should know about when it comes to getting affiliate from around the globe signed up.

Which networks are asking for SS and EIN numbers? We’ll reach out to them for you to see about signing up.

Ok, so I reached out to Joe who is director of business development over at Offershot and asked him what international affiliates without socials or an EIN should do to sign up.

You could also email them directly at affiliates@offershot.com to get the ball rolling.

I guess you must be a movie character :)

Interesting work around. They’ll know it’s you when you sign up.

Great!

I entered my personal info and used the 5′s as the required SS number. All went well and now I am waiting to be accepted.

With international affiliates, SS/EIN is not required, I assume they told you to put all 5′s in that field just so the site would accept that the field isn’t blank. International affiliates are generally required to fill out a W-8BEN form for tax purposes.

I just finished filling out & sending in my 1042S Forms. The EIN/SS number would be required under certain circumstances & if available should be filled out, but is not required. Unless you are from a country where there is no tax treaty, in which case, the company would be required to withhold 30% of the funds for tax purposes. Also there is no $600 minimum earnings needed for foreign publishers. If you earn any amount of money then the advertiser is required to send a 1042S.

Hope this helps
