Requirements: Best Practices Affiliate Marketing OCU 1) General Rules i. Rejected sites: In order to maintain its reputation as a leading consumers association, Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats has decided that all sites may apply to the Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats Affiliate Program, except: All sites may apply to OCU Affiliate Program, except: • Adult content sites • Political sites • Racist or extremist sites • All sites promoting or displaying violence • Peer 2 peer sites (illegal downloads) • Links farms ii. Use of approved material: Affiliates should solely use the approved material (banners,…). If they want to use another material or perform a change / add content to the existing material, they should submit it to an Performance Bay Account Manager prior to publication. iii. Fairness in communication: Obviously, all affiliates have to be fair in their communication. All affiliates that are encouraging their web audience to subscribe solely to get the free gifts may be excluded from the program. 2) E-mail Marketing i. Mandatory Opt-in: Obviously, the affiliates’ recipients have to be all opt-in (or double opt-in) addresses. Moreover, the mail should mention how the address has been collected. ii. Mandatory Opt-out: • Emailers must mention an opt-out message and link in the email (footer and /or header). Recipients must have the opportunity to unsubscribe/remove themselves directly through the sent mail on the listing of. • Affiliates should provide us with the whole data of the people who, after having received the emailing, want to be removed and not to be contacted any more by OCU. iii. Creatives • Email Service Providers must use the creative files approved and provided by the Performance Bay and client and delivered via email – or the affiliate network platform. • If they want to use a specific creative, they have to submit the client for approval prior to launch. iv. Email sender identity: • The sender has to be the owner/ leaser/ leased client of the Database. • DEM affiliates may not use OCU as sender name (expressions like “promocion”or”whatever”@ocu.org. “firstname.lastname@example.org”, etc… are not allowed either). “OCU by ” is allowed. • Gmail-addresses are not allowed. • The e-mail should contain the following message : Este aviso OCU le es enviado a través de xxxx. No se transmitirán a X sus datos personales ni su dirección de correo electrónico. v. Contact Data: Networks should have the contact person and information – of the sending party. vi. Email shoots Email Providers may not shoot the same DB with the same message in a time window shorter than 3 weeks vii. Robinson list The Robinson list should be checked before each sending WE KINDLY ASK AFFILIATES TO READ THROUGH THE BEST PRACTICES, THEY ARE INTEGRAL PART OF OUR MUTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH ALL AFFILIATES. IF THESE CONDITIONS ARE NOT RESPECTED, THE CLIENT WILL NOT PAY THE GENERATED LEADS AND THE AFFILIATE WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE TO THE CLIENT’S REPUTATION.
